HOW IT HAPPENED

The Falcons and the Hawks met for the second time this season. Montevallo got out to an early 1-0 lead as they scored the game's first goal.  Lauren Duckworth scored the opening goal to give the Falcons the lead.

Shorter went on a seven-goal run that spanned almost 20 minutes of play.  Jami Hudak scored the Falcons' second goal of the game to end the Shorter run. 

The Falcons netted the final goal of the opening half to trail the Hawks 7-3 as both teams headed into the locker room at halftime.

Montevallo and Shorter traded goals for much of the second half with the Falcons never getting closer than four goals from the lead.  A three-goal run near the end of the half gave Shorter the lift it needed to cruise to the 14-8 victory.
