Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. - The University of Montevallo volleyball team fell to visiting UAH 3-1 in a Gulf South Conference match Sept. 26 in the Falcons' first home conference action of the season at Trustmark Arena.
UAH (12-5 overall, 3-1 in Gulf South Conference) opened the match with a close 25-22 win in the first set. The Falcons (5-6 overall, 1-3 in Gulf South Conference) managed to tie the match at 1-1 with a 25-20 win in the second set before dropping the final two sets against the Chargers.
Freshman
Evelina Teran led the Falcons with 12 kills in the loss. Senior
Kristy Bohan recorded 11 kills and freshman
Amanda Nugent added nine kills.
Sophomore setter
Harley Masoner finished with 34 assists.
The Falcons return to action at home Friday, Sept. 29 with a Gulf South Conference match against Christian Brothers at 6 p.m. before taking on Union in conference play Saturday, Sept. 30 at 2 p.m. at Trustmark Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
•The Falcons led for the majority of the opening set, with a kill by junior
Shannon Dudley giving Montevallo a 20-16 advantage late in the frame, but the Chargers stormed back with a 9-2 run to secure a 25-22 win in the frame.
•Montevallo responded with a 25-20 victory in the second set, as Dudley contributed a pair of kills late in the set and senior
Kristy Bohan closed out the frame with a kill.
•UAH quickly took away the momentum with a 25-14 win in the third set before closing out the 3-1 victory with a 25-15 win in the fourth and final set.
