GAME NOTES
- Brie Blume led the team in kills and put down 11 to help propel the Falcons to victory.
- Amanda Nugent and Brioni Dixon found themselves in the top three for kills in the game. Nugent registered eight kills and Dixon added six to her total in the win over the Blazers.
- Blume put down four service aces in tonight's victory.
- Hannah Fernandez continued to dominate at the net and denied the Blazers eight times. Evelina Teran had a great night at the net and totaled six blocks in the victory.
- Liz Tisch led the team with 14 assists as she filled in for the injured Savannah Roys and helped fuel the Falcons offensive attack.
- Blume completed her 14th double-double of the season with 16 digs.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Montevallo dominated the opening set of play and cruised to an easy 25-12 victory. The Falcons had a 12-8 lead halfway through the set and then went on a 9-0 run to put the game out of reach 21-8. Montevallo used a 4-2 run to close out the set.
 Set 2
- Montevallo took control of the set early and led 12-6 at one point in the set. Valdosta State used a 7-0 run to take a 15-14 lead over the Falcons. Montevallo retook the lead and held control for the remainder of the set and outscored the Blazers 9-3 to close out the 25-19 win.
Set 3
- Montevallo jumped out to an 8-2 lead in the third set and never looked back. Late in the set, the Blazers threatened a comeback and got the game to 24-18 but the Falcons sealed the match with a kill from Amanda Nugent to put the Blazers away.
