HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Montevallo started the set with four straight points to take an early lead over West Florida. Later in the set, West Florida went on a 13-1 run to take a commanding lead over Montevallo 16-7. Montevallo was unable to find an answer for the attack of West Florida as the Argos took the first set 25-15
Set 2
- The Falcons and the Argos played a close set for the majority of the match and Montevallo held an 18-16 lead late in the set. West Florida was able to take a 20-18 lead and the Falcons responded to tie the game at 20-20. West Florida outscored the Falcons 5-2 down the stretch to win the set 25-22.
Set 3
- The Falcons and the Argos played another tight set and kept it close for most of it. The turning point of the set happened when Montevallo went on a five-point run to take a 20-18 lead. Montevallo held off West Florida to win the set 25-21.
Set 4
- West Florida came out in the fourth set and found their offensive rhythm early and jumped out to a large double-digit lead. Montevallo was unable to mount a response in the set as the Argos cruised to a 25-10 victory.
