GAME NOTES

·         Shyan Flack led the team in scoring with 10 points in tonight's game.  Flack was 4-of-12 from the floor in the game.

·         Nautika Philpot and Alyssa Williams led the team in rebounding as each player grabbed six boards in the game. 

·         Despite being outmatched in the game the Montevallo bench continued to shine and scored 35 points.

RECAP

CENTRE, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's basketball team faced off against Jacksonville State in an exhibition contest and were defeated 84-52.

Freshman Shyan Flack, this week's GSC Freshman of the Week, led the team in scoring with 10 points and she was the only Falcon to score in double figures.

The Falcons were kept off the boards in this game but two players were able to grab a team-high six rebounds.  Nautika Philpot and Alyssa Williams both led the team in rebounds.

Montevallo struggled offensively against the Jacksonville defense and was held to a season-low in offensive production.  The Falcons' highest period score was 14 points which came in the final period of play.

Montevallo will open up conference play this Thursday, November 29th when they take on Mississippi College at 5:30 pm in Clinton, Miss.
