HOW IT HAPPENED
Set 1
- Montevallo started the set with a three-point run but the Chargers answered with a five-point run to take a 5-3 lead. Midway through the set, the Falcons trailed 10-6 but scored four straight points to tie the game at 10-10. Later, Montevallo went on a five-point run to take a 16-13 lead. The Chargers responded with a 6-1 run to take a 19-17 lead late in the set. The teams exchanged points until the end of the set until the Chargers were able to score the final two points to win 28-26.
 Set 2
- Montevallo jumped out to an 8-3 lead over the Chargers and led by as much as 18-13 midway through the set. Alabama-Huntsville tied the game at 22-22 but Montevallo was able to hang on and won the set 25-23.
Set 3
- After falling behind in the set 2-0, the Falcons used a five-point run to take a 5-2 lead over the Chargers. The Falcons went on a 9-2 run later in the set to take a 17-9 lead over the Chargers. Montevallo was able to easily close out the set and cruised to a 25-16 victory.
Set 4
- The teams went back and forth early and Montevallo trailed 12-9 midway through the set. Montevallo fought back to take the lead at 16-14. After the Chargers tied the game at 17-17, the Falcons retook the lead and never looked back as they closed out the set to win 25-20.
