  • The Falcons outscored Miles College 19-10 in second-chance points in the contest.
  • Neither team shot the ball well from beyond the arc with Montevallo shooting 23 percent (5-of-21) and Miles College shooting 21 percent (4-of-19), but the final 3-pointer made by sophomore Kaleel Solomon in overtime turned out to be the difference in the game.

FAIRFIELD, Ala. – The University of Montevallo men's basketball team defeated Miles College 63-60 on the road in overtime in the Falcons' final non-conference game of the season Dec. 31 at Windham-Knox Gymnasium.

Montevallo will continue Gulf South Conference play Thursday, Jan. 3 with a trip to Montgomery to face in-state rival Auburn-Montgomery. Tip off is set for 8 p.m.
