• The Falcons were outrebounded by an opponent for just the second time this season as Miles College owned a 38-34 advantage on the boards despite Montevallo holding a 12-9 edge in offensive rebounds.
• The Falcons shot a season-low 33.3 percent from the floor and didn't fare any better with 33.3 percent shooting from beyond the arc, while Miles College shot 46.3 percent from the floor and 41.2 percent from 3-point range.
• The Miles College bench outscored its counterparts from Montevallo 30-7 in the contest.
• Miles College scored the opening basket of the game on a jumper by Damian Archer before senior De'Marco Owens tied the game at 2-2 with a layup in the paint in the first two minutes of the contest before the Golden Bears took control and never relinquished the lead the rest of the way.
• Freshman Jack Youmans drained a half-court shot at the buzzer to cap a 8-0 run by the Falcons to end the first half and trim the Golden Bears' lead to 28-23 heading into the locker room at halftime.
• Montevallo cut the Miles' lead to 36-35 following a 3-pointer by Youmans with 16:32 remaining in the game, but the Golden Bears responded with a quick 5-0 run capped with a fastbreak layup by Avery Brown to take back the momentum.
• The Golden Bears led by as many as 14 points down the stretch before securing the 65-55 victory.
• Senior De'Marco Owens registered his second consecutive double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds in the contest.

Montevallo will return to action Tuesday, Dec. 11 with a trip to Atlanta, Georgia to face Clark Atlanta University in a non-conference contest. The Falcons defeated the Panthers 68-65 in the first meeting between the two teams in the home opener for Montevallo at Trustmark Arena four weeks ago. Tip off is set for 7 p.m. Eastern/6 p.m. Central.
