Montevallo (9-13 overall, 5-7 in Gulf South Conference) finished with 17 turnovers compared to seven turnovers by the Blazers, which helped Valdosta State outscore the Falcons 20-7 in points off turnovers.

The Falcons outrebounded the Blazers 39-28, including a 10-6 advantage on the offensive boards, which helped Montevallo finish with a 16-8 edge in second-chance points despite Valdosta State winning the battle in the paint 40-30.
