NEWS AND NOTES
- Montevallo men's soccer will take the field to face the West Alabama Tigers in a Gulf South Conference home contest.
- Montevallo enters the matchup 4-4-1 on the season and 2-1 in GSC play, following a 2-0 win over Spring Hill Sunday.
- West Alabama enters the contest 3-4 on the season and 1-1 in GSC play following a 1-2 loss on the road to North Georgia on Oct. 3rd. All three of the Tigers' wins have come on the road.
- Montevallo currently sits in fifth place in the overall GSC standings. West Alabama is just behind the Falcons in seventh.

- The Falcons are led by junior Nemanja Acimovic and freshman Fausto Castillo. Acimovic, the Belgrade, Serbia native was named the GSC player of the week after his hat-trick performance against Christian Brothers. Castillo, the Guatemala City, Guatemala native, was named the GSC Freshman of the week following his game-winning goal against Clayton State. Castillo added his second goal of the season in the win over North Georgia. Senior Vladik Margolin has contributed two goals for the Falcons this season, both coming from penalty kicks.
- Acimovic leads the Falcons in points with six while Margolin has registered five, including two goals and one assist.
- Sophomore Ruben Carvalho has registered a team-high two assists this season and has four total points for the Falcons. Castillo's two goal give him for points on the season as well.
- Senior Arad Lev Ari scored against Spring Hill on Sunday and registered an assist. The midfielder now has three points on the season.
- Senior goalkeeper Robert Kuta has totaled 35 saves on the season and is tied for the lead in shutouts with four.
- Redshirt Junior Rob McNeal was named the GSC Defender of the Week earlier in the season and leads the Falcons backline in minutes played with 834 on the season.
WEST ALABAMA
- For West Alabama, Adam Zayed leads the Tigers in goals with two on the season.
- In goal, Cosmas Uzoaru has made six starts for the Tigers this season and has totaled 26 saves.
