Montevallo comes from to behind to force 1-1 draw against West Alabama

Box Score Montevallo, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Women's Soccer Team came to a draw with the West Alabama Tigers 1-1 in Gulf South Conference Play. After falling behind 1-0 early in the match, the Falcons responded with a goal in the second half to finish 1-1 after double overtime.

HOW IT HAPPENED
 
14' | Temia Pride put the ball in the back of the net early to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead.
56' | Sophomore Romee Contreras scored the game-tying goal in the 56th minute off an assist from Hannah Waki.


GAME NOTES
·        Montevallo tied the Tigers 1-1 in conference play. The third tie of the season for the Falcons.
·       Sophomore Romee Contreras led the Falcons offensively, scoring the lone goal in the contest. 
·       Junior Hannah Waki had the lone assist for the Falcons.
·       Montevallo outshot the Tigers 21-6 in the contest and placed 6 shots on goal compared to just four by West Alabama.
