Series Notes: Montevallo has only lost once at home to the Chargers. Neither side has been able to put together consecutive wins in the series since the Falcons won 10 in a row between 1999 and 2008. In the 10 games since 2008 there have been two ties, five UAH wins and three Montevallo wins.

  • Montevallo men's soccer will take the field to face the UAH Chargers in a Gulf South Conference home contest.
  • Montevallo enters the matchup 5-4-1 on the season and 3-1 in GSC play, following a 2-0 win over West Alabama Sunday.
  • Alabama-Huntsville enters the contest 3-5-1 on the season and 1-1-1 in GSC play following a 1-1 tie to Auburn-Montgomery.  All three of the Tigers' wins have come on the road.
  • Montevallo currently sits in fourth place in the overall GSC standings. UAH is just behind the Falcons in seventh.
 TEAM LEADERS
 
MONTEVALLO
  • The Falcons are led by junior Nemanja Acimovic and freshman Fausto Castillo. Acimovic, the Belgrade, Serbia native was named the GSC player of the week after his hat-trick performance against Christian Brothers. Castillo, the Guatemala City, Guatemala native, was named the GSC Freshman of the week following his game-winning goal against Clayton State. Castillo added his second goal of the season in the win over North Georgia. Senior Vladik Margolin has contributed three goals for the Falcons this season as well.
  • Margolin leads the Falcons in points with seven so far this season.
  • Sophomore Ruben Carvalho has registered a team-high three assists this season and has four total points for the Falcons.
  • Senior goalkeeper Robert Kuta has totaled 38 saves on the season and leads the GSC in shutouts with five.
  • Redshirt Junior Rob McNeal was named the GSC Defender of the Week earlier in the season and leads the Falcons backline in minutes played with 924 on the season.
UAH
  • For UAH, Rafa Moreno leads the Chargers in scoring with four goals on the season.
  • In goal, Simon Voss has started five games and made 10 saves on the season.
