Last Meeting: The Falcons defeated Lee, 1-0, in the GSC Semifinals on Nov. 2, 2018 in Montgomery, Alabama. Romee Contreras scored the eventual game-winning goal in the 48th minute. Annie Mason recorded eight saves in goal.
 
Streaks: The Falcons are currently on a two game win streak and are 3-0-1 in their last four games, all in GSC action.
 
Series Notes: UM swept Lee last year with a 3-2 win on the road in September and the 1-0 win in the GSC semifinals. Lee shut out Montevallo, 3-0, in the Flames' last visit to Georgine Lemak Field on Oct. 15, 2017.

NEWS AND NOTES
  • The winner of tonight's game will claim at least the third position in the GSC standings. Montevallo enters tonight's contest 5-1-1 in the GSC and one spot behind third-place Lee (6-1). West Alabama (6-1-1) is in second place behind Mississippi College (9-0). 
  • Lee has won nine of its last 10 games and has not allowed a goal in its last three outings. 
  • The Falcons are 2-1-2 at home this season, only falling to DI program Louisiana Tech in week one of the season. Lee is 4-1 on the road. The Flames' only road loss was Sept. 7 at No. 1 Grand Valley.
  • Montevallo is off to its best start in program history since 1998, eleven games in the season at 7-2-3. The Falcons are ranked No. 8 in the latest United Soccer Coaches Association NCAA Division II South Region Poll. Lee is ranked No. 3 in the South Region and No. 15 nationally.

TEAM LEADERS

MONTEVALLO
  • Annie Mason leads the Falcons defensively this season with 42 saves and only five goals allowed. Mason ranks second the GSC in goals against average (.517) and leads in save percentage (.894) and in shut outs (3). Mason has twice been named the GSC Defender of the Week this season.
  • The Falcons offensive attack is led by Romee Contreras who has scored five goals this season. Samara Lino is close behind with four goals after scoring two at AUM. Allye Darnell, Tori Ochoa, Melanie Stevens and Kaeri Ward have each scored two goals this season, and a group of seven players have all scored one goal each this season. Senior Tylor Ring, juniors Kira Bochard and Kristen Chance, and sophomores, Medhali Hernandez and Espy Sanchez, have all found the back-of-the-net once this season.
  • Sophomore Romee Contreras also leads the Falcons in assists this season with four.
  • Contreras also leads the Falcons in shots-on-goal with 16 so far. Sophomore Medhali Hernandez has put up a team-leading 41 shots so far this season.
  • Melanie Stevens, along with juniors Hannah Waki and Christiane Malone make up a back line that has played nearly 3,000 minutes this season. Waki leads the Falcons with more than 1,100 minutes so far. The Falcons defense has allowed just nine goals to NCAA Division II opponents this season.
LEE
  • Lee is led by Riley Henry's five goals and five assists. Riley Engels and Devin Healy each have five goals and four assists. 
  • Taylor Green is 10-2 in goal, starting all 12 games. She's allowed seven goals and posted 24 saves.
