Last Meeting:Â Montevallo and West Alabama last met on Sept. 21, 2019 in Livingston, Alabama. The Tigers topped the Falcons 3-1. The last time the teams met in Montevallo, UM took the win in five sets on October 31, 2017.

Series Notes:Â Three of the last four meetings in the series have come in Livingston, Alabama, with UWA taking each of those three meetings. The series was not played from 2012 through 2016, as the Falcons and Tigers were in different conferences, and even before the hiatus, the home team held the upper hand all the way back to 2010. The Falcons are the last team to take a road win in the series, earning a 5-set victory at UWA on Oct. 26, 2010.

- West Alabama enters the match 7-16 overall and 1-6 in GSC play. The Tigers are 2-9 in their last 11 matches.
- Montevallo is currently in fifth place in the GSC, sitting at 5-3 in the conference, and UWA is in 11th in the GSC at 1-6. The Falcons are a game and one-half behind a three way tie for second in the GSC, and a game and one-half ahead of a sixth-place deadlock; while the Tigers are one game out of a tie for the final spot in the upcoming GSC Championship.

- Senior Brioni Dixon leads the Falcons and is eighth in the Gulf South Conference with 247 kills. The senior leads Montevallo and ranks fourth in the GSC with a .307 hitting percentage. Dixon is also averaging 2.74 kills per set.
- Sophomore Savannah Roys leads Montevallo in assists this season, having totaled 825, the most of any setter in the GSC. Roys ranks fourth in assists per set with 9.07.
- On the defensive end, Skyler Sieber is averaging 3.58 digs per set this season, with 290 total digs on the season.
- Dixon also leads the Falcons in total blocks with 90 on the season, including 21 last week to earn GSC Defensive Player of the Week honors.
