SERIES HISTORY
  • Montevallo has lost the last two meetings in Trustmark Arena, but is 3-0 in Fairfield since 2014. 
  • After losing to Miles 65-55 at home last December, Montevallo closed its non-conference schedule on New Year's Eve with a 63-60 overtime win. Kaleel Solomon drained a 3-pointer with 23 seconds remaining to give UM the win.

MONTEVALLO
  • Montevallo is 2-1 against NCAA Division II South Region foes this season following a win over Clark Atlanta on Thursday. 
  • The Falcons enter the game coming off their hottest-shooting half of basketball since 2018, hitting 65.2 percent of their shots in the final 20 minutes Nov. 14.
  • The Falcons have shot the ball at a 44.3% clip in their first two games of the season, taking a win over Tampa before falling to St. Leo
  • Jonas Parker and Cedric Jackson are both coming off career-high performances against CAU, including a 7-of-9 night behind the arc for Jackson, who was previously 2-of-12 on the season.
  • Wade Lowman leads the Falcons with an average of 16.3 points per game and is shooting 65.2 percent from the floor. He leads UM in total points (49), total rebounds (24) and blocks (4).

MILES
  • The Miles Golden Bears travel for the first time in the regular season after defeating Auburn University Montgomery, 73-70, at home on Nov. 13. 
  • Miles, the defending Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) champions, opened the season in exhibition play at NAIA semifinalist William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, falling 63-53.
  • Jelani Watson-Gayle led Miles in its season opener with 21 points, while Frank Royles dropped 18 points. 
  • Joel Logan, a 6-foot-8 post player, leads with Miles with five blocks in the first game.
  • Miles locked down the perimeter on Wednesday, holding AUM to 7% shooting from 3-point range (1-of-14).
