Last Meeting: The Falcons broke open a 1-1 match with two goals in the final 5:11 of the match to earn a 3-1 victory over the Flames at Montevallo on Oct. 25, 2019. Montevallo had three different players score in the match and out shot the Flames, 17-2, including 7-2 in shots on goal.
Series Notes: UM is 3-1 against Lee, including a 1-0 win in the semifinals of the 2018 Gulf South Conference Tournament. That win sent the Falcons into the championship match, where they fell, 1-0, to West Florida. Two of the four matches have been one-goal affairs and UM has outscored Lee, 7-6, all-time in the series.Â
Streaks: Montevallo - which shut out Christian Brothers, 2-0, in the GSC Tournament quarterfinals - has won its last three straight matches and the Falcons are 8-1 in their last nine and 9-1-1 in their last 11 outings. West Florida, which won 3-1 at third-seeded West Alabama in the quarterfinals, has won four of its last five with the lone loss being a 2-0 setback at the hands of GSC regular-season champion Mississippi College.Â
NEWS AND NOTES
- Montevallo is 3-0-1 in its last four matches and the Falcons are 8-1-1 in their last 10 and 9-1-2 in their last 12 outings. Lee has won three straight and is 6-1 in its last seven matches.
- The Falcons are 7-2-2 away from home this season (5-2-0 away, 2-0-2 neutral sites), while Lee is 8-3 (6-3 away, 2-0 neutral site) away from its home pitch.
- Montevallo has outscored its opponents, 47-18, this season. The Falcons average 2.35 goals per match (fourth in the GSC) and allow only 0.90 goals per contest (also fourth). The Falcons have posted eight clean sheets in the 2019 campaign.
- Lee is only sixth in the conference in scoring (39 goals, 1.95 goals per match), but the Flames are tops in the GSC in scoring defense, yielding only 13 goals (0.65 per game) in 20 matches and posting a stunning 14 shutouts so far. Lee is riding a streak of two straight shutouts and hasn't allowed a goal in 255:07 of match play.
- The Falcons were rated fifth in the South Region in the most recent NCAA Regional Rankings. Other GSC teams in the rankings included Mississippi College (first), Lee (second), West Alabama (sixth) and West Florida (seventh).
- The NCAA Tournament field (along with host schools) will be announced at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18 and the South Region will have six teams qualify (Conference Tournament champions from the GSC and Sunshine State conferences and four at-large berths).

MONTEVALLO
- Romee Contreras leads the Falcons in goals (seven), assists (10) and points (24) on 44 shots, including 20 shots on goal. She is second in the GSC in assists and also ranks in the top 10 in points and goals.
- Samara Lino also has six goals and three assists for 15 points for UM on 43 shots, 22 of which were on goal. Her 22 SOG is tied for tops on the team with Medhali Hernandez
- Hernandez is tops on the team in shots (59), shots on goal (22) and has added three goals and two assists for the Falcons.
- Other offensive threats for the Falcons are Kira Bochard (six goals, 13 points), Kaeri Ward (five goals, 11 points) and Taylor Ring (three goals, four assists, 10 points).
- Hannah Waki has played the most minutes (1,757) among the field players for the Falcons and made the match-winning penalty kick in the Falcons' shootout victory over West Florida in the semifinals on Friday.
- Annie Mason and Judith Perez-Bayon have split time in goal, with Mason making 59 saves and allowing nine goals in 1,264:59 of work and Perez-Bayon making nine saves and yielding nine goals in 613:36 in net. Mason's .868 save percentage leads the GSC and 0.64 goals against average is good for second.
- Fourteen different players have scored for Montevallo this season, with 11 of those finding the back of the net multiple times. In all, 18 different Montevallo players have at least one point in 2019 and eight players have eight points or more for the Falcons.Â

LEE
- Riley Henry and Riley Engels both have seven goals, five assists and 19 points to lead the Flames offensively. Engels leads the team in shots (68) and shots on goal (33) while Henry has cranked 49 shots, 21 of which have been on goal. Engels is fourth in the conference in shots and sixth in shots on goal.
- Also look for Devin Healy (five goals, four assists, 14 points), Avery Engels (five goals, 11 points) and Emma Higgins (five goals, 10 points) to threaten offensively for the Flames, who have had nine players score two or more goals this season.
- Taylor Green is Lee's main goalie, allowing only 10 goals and making 48 saves in 1,566:46 of work. Her 11 shutouts and 0.57 goals against average both lead the GSC and her .828 save percentage is good for fourth.
