SERIES HISTORY
  • Montevallo and Tuskegee meet tonight for the first time since November 2016. The Falcons won that game on the road, 67-58.
  • The series has produced some of the top performances in UM history, including former Falcon Greg Brown tying the UM single-game record for steals (8) in 2006-07. Brown also hit 6-of-6 3-pointers as part of a 90% overall shooting performance against Tuskegee in 2005-06.

     
NEWS & NOTES
  • Montevallo wraps up a five-game non-conference home stand tonight before opening Gulf South Conference play this Nov. 23 and Nov. 25 when it hosts Delta State University and Mississippi College. 
  • Tonight marks the third-straight game against foes from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC). Montevallo defeated Clark Atlanta University on Nov. 14 but fell to Miles College on Nov. 16. 
  • The Falcons' 2-2 record this year all comes against teams in the NCAA Division II South Region, going 1-1 against Sunshine State Conference teams and 1-1 against SIAC teams so far.
  • After tonight, UM will play three more regular season non-conference games before Christmas with return trips to Tuskegee (Nov. 27), Clark Atlanta (Dec. 4) and Miles (Dec. 7), as well as exhibition at UAB on Dec. 14. 

TEAM LEADERS
MONTEVALLO
  • Wade Lowman continues to lead the Falcons' offense for the second-straight week, averaging 16 points per game. His 7.5 rebounds per game and 7 total blocks are also a team best, as is his 66.7% shooting from the floor. 
  • Jonas Parker is averaging 15 points per game for the Falcons, followed by Xavier Malcom and Ivan Smith with 9.5 points per game apiece. 

TUSKEGEE
  • Four Tigers are scoring in double-digits to lead Tuskegee through its two games.
  • Averaging 34 minutes per game, James Eads leads the team with 18 points per game, followed by Deshawn Millington (13.5), Myles Thomas (13) and Kaleb Morton (10.5).
