NEWS AND NOTES
  • The Falcons and Flames were originally scheduled to meet on Oct. 13, but bad weather forced a postponement of their GSC match until Wednesday.
  • UM (6-8-1, 4-5 GSC) is currently in a three-way tie with Union (7-7-0, 4-6) and Spring Hill (6-7-0, 4-5-0) for seventh place in the GSC standings with 12 points, two points behind sixth-place Alabama Huntsville (6-8-2, 4-4-2). Only the top eight teams in the conference standings make the postseason tournament.
  • Lee (9-4-3, 5-3-2) has already clinched a berth in the GSC Tournament and is fourth in the conference with 17 points, only one point behind Auburn Montgomery (8-5-3, 5-2-3).

MONTEVALLO
  • Senior Vladik Margolin leads the Falcons in goals (five) and points (11) this season.
  • Margolin's four goals have come on just nine shots, a tidy .556 shooting percentage.
  • Junior Nemanja Acimovic has contributed four goals for Montevallo this season as well on 34 shots, 18 of which have been on goal. His shots and shots on goal totals are good for second on the team behind sophomore Ruben Carvalho.
  • Carvalho has registered a team-high four assists this season and has six total points for the Falcons on 39 shots, 19 of which have been on goal.
  • Senior goalkeeper Robert Kuta has played in all 15 matches, totalling 55 saves on the season and is second in the GSC in shutouts with five.
  • Redshirt Junior Rob McNeal was named the GSC Defender of the Week earlier in the season and leads the Falcons field players in minutes played with 1,370 on the season, only four minutes less than Kuta has in goal.
LEE
  • Jared McWhorter leads the Flames in goals (seven), points (16), shots (48) and shots on goal (25). He is in the top seven in the GSC in goals, shots and shots on goal. 
  • Tristan Lyle has added six goals and 12 points on 39 shots, 15 on goal.
  • Eemeli Makela leads Lee with three assists and has been a consistent player for the Flames, starting all 17 matches and playing 1460 minutes so far this season.
  • Caden Corrao also has started all 17 matches and played the most minutes (1,481) of any of the Flames' field players while tossing in two goals and two assists.
  • In goal, Daniel Hrenko has started 16 matches and played 1436 minutes, allowing 14 goals and posting 44 saves. He is third in the conference in Goals Against Average (0.88) and fifth in save percentage (.759).
