MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
  • Senior Tyler Krabbe finished 3-for-5 at the plate with two doubles, while driving in three runs and scoring one run.
  • Junior John Benevolent went 2-for-4 at the plate, with two doubles, while driving in two runs and scoring one run.
  • Junior Davis Lott finished 1-for-3 at the plate with a two-run home run.
  • Senior Jason Cryar scored two runs while juniors Sebastian Samuels and Jake Morris each scored one run.
  • Freshman Ben Teel finished 2-for-4 at the plate, while scoring two runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Spring Hill took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning on a solo homer by Daniel Rodriguez and a two-run home run by Mason Bonnaffon.
  • The Badgers plated another run in the top of the fifth to lead 4-0.
  • In the bottom of the fifth inning, junior Davis Lott homered to left center, scoring Ben Teel, trimming the Spring Hill lead to 4-2. 
  • Later in the bottom of the fifth, freshman Ty Wooton grounded out to short scoring junior John Benevolent to trail 4-3.
  • In the bottom of the eighth inning, senior Tyler Krabbe doubled down the left field line scoring senior Jason Cryar, trimming the deficit to 5-4.
  • Spring Hill plated eight runs in the top of the ninth to lead 13-4.
  • Krabbe doubled down the left field line for the second time, scoring Cryar and Benevolent to trail 13-6.
  • Freshman Brennan Ferguson scored Krabbe on a sacrifice fly, plating the seventh run of the game for the falcons later in the ninth.
  • Benevolent plated the final two runs for the Falcons on a double, scoring Teel and junior Sebastian Samuels to trail 13-9.
