MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Mississippi College took a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning following a solo home run by Brandon Broussard.
  • The Falcons tied the game at 1-1 in the top of the seventh inning following a solo home run by senior Tyler Krabbe.
  • The Choctaws took back the lead, 3-1, following a two-run triple down the left-field line by Chauncey Callier in the bottom of the seventh inning.
  • Mississippi College added another run to extend its lead to 4-1 following a RBI sacrifice fly by Grant Barber in the bottom of the eighth inning.
  • Montevallo trimmed the Choctaws' lead to 4-2 in the top of the ninth inning following a RBI single up the middle by Krabbe with one out, but the Falcons stranded two baserunners to end the game.

UP NEXT

The Falcons and the Choctaws will continue the three-game Gulf South Conference series with a doubleheader Saturday, March 30 starting at 12 p.m.
