ROME, Ga. – The University of Montevallo men's lacrosse team solidified its standing for the upcoming Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with a 30-8 win on the road at Shorter University in its final regular season game April 19.
Sophomore
Thomas Vaesen tied his career-high with 11 goals, which included his 100th goal of his collegiate career, as the Falcons improved to 6-8 overall and 3-3 in Great Lakes Valley Conference play.
Montevallo outscored the Hawks by 22 goals and surpassed Young Harris and Maryville in goal differential, which is part of a tiebreaker for the upcoming conference tournament in a potential three-way tie.

Ryan Shea added four goals, while sophomore
Kordell Primus and freshman
Andru Ross added three goals each.

Connor Frederick and
Dante Cloutier added two goals each.

Luke Stephens won 34-of-42 face-off attempts, which set a new NCAA Division II record for face offs won in a game.

3rd (14:03) | Vaesen's first goal in the second half marked the 100th goal he has scored in his collegiate career.
