MONTEVALLO HIGHLIGHTS
  • Junior Brianna Stella finished 4-for-5 at the plate while driving in one run and scoring one run.
  • Sophomore Carlee Mullinax went 2-for-4 at the plate with a home run while driving in two runs and scoring one run.
  • Sophomore Brooke Ingram finished 2-for-4 at the plate while driving in two runs and scoring one run.
  • Junior Mariel Bertossi went 2-for-3 at the plate and scored one run.
  • Freshman Georgia Hughes finished 1-for-1 at the plate and drove in one run.
  • Sophomore Alexis Cortez went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored one run.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Falcons took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning following a two-run homer by sophomore Carlee Mullinax.
  • Lee plated two runs in the bottom of the first inning to tie the game at 2-2.
  • Montevallo scored three runs in the top of the second inning on a RBI single by junior Brianna Stella and a two-run single by sophomore Brooke Ingram to take a 5-2 lead.
  • Lee plated another run in the bottom of the second inning and took a 6-5 lead following a three-run homer by Stevie Baird in the bottom of the third inning.
  • The Falcons tied the game at 6-6 following a RBI sacrifice fly by senior Marisa Sosa in the top of the fifth inning.
  • Lee broke the game open with six runs combined in the bottom of the fifth inning and bottom of the sixth inning, which saw Claudia Jones homer in each frame.
  • Freshman Georgia Hughes scored the Falcons' final run on a RBI single in the top of the seventh inning.
UP NEXT

The Falcons will host in-state rival Alabama-Huntsville on the final weekend of regular season play in the Gulf South Conference next weekend.
