Morrow, GA. – The Falcons opened up their road season with a 1-0 win in overtime against the No. 19 Clayton State Lakers.
 
Freshman Fausto Castillo scored in the fourth minute of the first overtime, giving the Falcons the win. Castillo took a pass from senior Luke Garner and buried it in the back of the net for his first career goal.
 
The Falcons improve to 2-1-1 on the season after beating a Top-25 team for the first time since 2012 when the Falcons took down No. 5 Flagler.

94' | Castillo powers a shot in to the back of the net off an assist from senior Luke Garner to lift the Falcons over the Lakers 1-0 in overtime.

• Montevallo hands No. 19 Clayton State their first loss of the season in an OT thriller.
• Montevallo senior Robert Kuta earned the start at goalkeeper and made two total saves in the shut out win.
• Freshman Fausto Castillo found the back of the net for the first time his career, lifting the Falcons over the Lakers in OT.
