Box Score MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Women's Soccer Team topped the Valdosta State Blazers 2-1 in the first Gulf South Conference game of the season. The Falcons' 2-1 win is the first win ever over Valdosta State. Montevallo took the lead in early in the match following a goal from freshman
Kaeri Ward, assisted by junior
Hannah Waki. Montevallo added to its lead late in the second half when junior
Allye Darnell found the back of the net off an assist from sophomore
Romee Contreras. The Falcons' only blemish of the season is to NCAA Division 1 opponent La. Tech.
