TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
Â
MONTEVALLO
- With 11 wins through its first 13 games of the 2019-2020 season, Montevallo is one win away from tying its win total for the entire 2018-19 season (12-16). A win against Christian Brothers on Saturday would give the Falcons their sixth Gulf South Conference victory on the season, which is two shy of last year's total.
- Saturday's game will be the second time Montevallo has traveled to the state of Tennessee for a game this season. Back on Dec. 7, the Falcons went to Jackson, Tenn., and knocked off Lane College, 63-50. UM also has two road wins in the state of Georgia this season with a 94-77 win at West Georgia followed by an 84-83 victory at Shorter. Montevallo's lone road loss this season came on Nov. 15 at Tuskegee when the Golden Tigers knocked off the Falcons, 81-88.
- Last time out against Lane College, Shyan Flack recorded her sixth double-double on the season as the sophomore went for 10 points and 10 rebounds in 32 minutes of game action. She also has double-doubles against Clark Atlanta, Delta State, Stillman, Lane and West Georgia this season.

CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
- Christian Brothers enters Saturday's game having won its last two GSC games. The Lady Bucs defeated UAH, 63-62, on Jan. 4, then knocked off West Alabama, 80-74, on Jan. 9. This run came after CBU dropped four of its first five conference games.
- Brynne Lytle heads into Saturday's contest against Montevallo as the conference's leading scorer with a 21.1 scoring average through 11 games. Lytle, who is the only GSC women's basketball player averaging 20-or-more points a game, has scored 20-plus points in her last seven straight games and nine of last 10.
- Shooting percentage is a strong point for Christian Brothers. Through 11 games, the Lady Bucs have shot 40.8 percent from the field, including 33.6 from behind the 3-point arc. CBU also shoots 71.1 percent from the free throw line.
