SERIES HISTORY
  • Montevallo and Lee have met a total of five times with Montevallo having a 3-2 edge all-time in the series history. The two teams first met on March 3, 1995 when the Falcons beat the Flames, 84-72, on the road.
  • UM and Lee split two meetings during the 2018-19 season with each team winning on its home court. The Flames won in Tennessee, 43-58, while the Falcons knocked off Lee in Montevallo, 66-60.
  • Neither team has won more than two consecutive games throughout the series. Montevallo won the first two meetings, before Lee won the next two. The Falcons won the last matchup in the series and looking for its second two-game winning streak in the series history.

TEAM HIGHLIGHTS

MONTEVALLO
  • Marisa Snodgrass will enter Thursday's contest as a four-time GSC Freshman of the Week winner after picking up the honor, again, earlier this week. Snodgrass, a 5-foot-4 guard from Hazel Green, Ala., is fourth on the team with a 9.5 scoring average through 14 games. She's dished out a team-high 57 assists and credited with 36 steals and 51 total rebounds. She's shooting 40/40/90 (FG/3PT/FT) in 32.6 minutes per game.
  • A win over the Flames would give the Falcons their 13th win on the season, which would be the most wins in a season since winning 17 during the 2012-13 season.
  • Thursday's matchup against Lee will be the second game against a team near the top of the GSC standings for Montevallo. Earlier this season, the Falcons knocked off Delta State, which is currently 13-1, 6-1 and riding a nine-game winning streak, 79-70. UM will play Union, the only other team between it and the top of the standings, on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Montevallo.

LEE
  • Lee is sitting atop the GSC standings by virtue of overall winning percentage (.938) as the Flames and Union are both 7-1 in conference play. However, UU has a .813 overall winning percentage, thus giving Lee the edge in the standings.
  • The Flames have been turning up the heat on the scoreboard this season. Through 16 games this season, Lee averages 74.1 points per game, while holding opponents to only 55.2 points; a scoring margin of plus-18.9 in favor of the Flames. Lee has even topped the century mark on an occasion with a 111-48 victory over Johnson (TN) on Dec. 3.
  • Abby Bertram leads the team in scoring with a 13.4 scoring clip in 16 games played. Haley Schubert is second with a 12.6 mark. The duo is shooting 41 and 48 percent, respectively, from the field in just over 25 minutes of game action.
