SERIES HISTORY
  • AUM handed Montevallo its first GSC loss of the 2019-20 season when the Warhawks beat the Falcons, 50-69, on Jan. 4, 2020. AUM shot 50 percent for the game, while holding UM to 28.4 percent.
 
TEAM HIGHLIGHTS
 
MONTEVALLO
  • After dropped its Jan. 4 game against AUM, Montevallo won three of its next four games, including wins over West Florida, Lane College and Christian Brothers. The Falcons' lone loss during the four-game span came against GSC preseason favorites Lee University.
  • Despite being held to single digits for only the second time all season last time out, Shyan Flack still leads the Falcons with 16.1 points per game. Kiya Sain (11.2) and Paige Ward (10.1) round out the trio of UM players averaging double digit points entering Saturday's game.
  • The Falcons sit in fourth place in the conference standings following Thursday's game against Lee University. UM is one of only four GSC teams which have won 6-or-more conference games this season.  
 
AUM
  • Since knocking off Montevallo to begin the 2020 year, AUM has earned a pair of wins in three games with wins coming against Lemoyne-Owen College and Shorter University. The Warhawks dropped a 42-74 game to Union University during the stretch.
  • AUM features a trio of double-digit scorers with Victoria Morales leading the way with a 12.9 clip. Catlin Carter (11.8) and Jordan Brewster (11.5) following close behind
  • The Warhawks are coming off a season-high 83 points scored against Shorter during their last game on Jan. 12. The Warhawks shot 43.3 percent from the field, including knocking down nine 3-pointers and 22 free throw attempts.
