MONTEVALLO, AL—The Montevallo men's tennis team took down regional opponent Spring Hill by a score of 5-2 on Friday afternoon at the Montevallo Tennis Complex. The Falcons now stand at 3-2 (2-1 GSC) while the Spring Hill Badgers drop to 9-2 this spring.
The Falcons took the doubles point with wins at all 3 lines. Juniors
James Bloomer and
Brecht Van Buggenhout remain undefeated and improve to 5-0 as a team this season after collecting a 6-2 victory at the #2 position.
Junior
Georg Trompler won 6-4, 6-1 at the #1 singles position to move to a perfect 3-0 this spring. Junior
Tanguy David is tied with Trompler at a team-leading 3 singles wins this season after picking up a hard-fought 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 win at the #2 slot.
The Falcons are back in action on Thursday, March 5 at 2:00 pm as they host Alabama-Huntsville in a key Gulf South Conference matchup.
