BIRMINGHAM, Ala - The University of Montevallo women's lacrosse team took on Birmingham Southern in a nonconference match up where they picked up a victory against the Panthers.
The Falcons set the tone early in the game after trailing 0-1 to start the half. Sophomore
Anja Kuys scored the first goal from a
Hailey Wilcox assist which ignited the offense for the day. UM would go on to outscore BSC 7-3 in the first half. The second half was competitive but the Falcons persevered to complete the victory.

Hailey Wilcox was on top of her game, leading the Falcons in goals with 5 and also picked up an assist.
Anja Kuys contributed majorly to the winning effort after she scored 3 goals out of 4 shots.

Elexi Boladian all put a goal each on the scoreboard, which cruised Montevallo to a win. The Falcons were tenacious defensively picking up 18 groundballs against BSC.
NEXT UP: The Falcons will be back home at the UM Lacrosse Stadium Friday March 6 where they will take on Emmanuel College, start time is set for 7:00PM. The team will be dedicating the game to the Lax 4 Life Organization that helps deal with suicide prevention. UM will also face Quincy University Sunday March 8th with a faceoff time set for 1:00 PM.
