BIRMINGHAM, Ala - The University of Montevallo womens lacrosse team won in dominating fashion against Emmanuel College at Krulak Stadium on the campus of Birmingham Southern College. The victory was a little bit sweeter due to the game being dedicated to Lax 4 Life, an organization that emphasizes suicide prevention.
The Falcons started the game hot scoring 10 goals before Emmanuel put any on the board. Montevallo was scrappy defensively which lead 26 turnovers in the game. The Falcons battled for the ball the entire game leading to a game high 26 ground balls.Â

Adrianna Piontek discussed the execution of her team "Overall I'm very proud of our team's ability to get the job done. We still have to work out a couple of kinks before conference, but we are excited for the next two opportunities ahead of us to do so!" She went on to open up about the importance of Lax 4 Life, "Being able to dedicate this game to Lax 4 Life meant so much to our team. We have several members of our team who have been affected by suicide so we jumped at the opportunity to help raise money and awareness for prevention"
