COLUMBUS, GA—The University of Montevallo women's tennis team was defeated by #3 Columbus State University 7-0 on Saturday afternoon in a non-conference match in Columbus, Georgia. The Falcons drop to 4-3 this season while the Columbus State Cougars, members of the Peach Belt Conference, improve to 8-3.

Mireia Turro pushing Luise Sachs, the #10 nationally-ranked player by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, to a match tiebreak at line 1. The Cougars took the rest of the singles matches in straight sets.
NEXT UP: The Falcons will look to rebound on Tuesday, March 10 when they host Gulf South Conference opponent #24 West Alabama. The Tigers will be Montevallo's 4
th nationally-ranked opponent this season in only 8 matches.
