LIVINGSTON, Ala. – The Montevallo women's soccer team ended their match against West Alabama in a tie, 0-0, on the road Sunday afternoon. With the tie the Falcons are now 5-6-1 with a 2-5-1 GSC record and West Alabama takes on a 7-2-2 record with a 5-1-1 conference record.
Neither team managed to find the net in Sunday's in-state match up. The Falcons took its chances throughout the game but got close to scoring a goal when
Melanie Stevens attempted to net one, but was saved by UWA's Tabitha Weldon.
Allye Darnell gave UM another chance at a goal in the first OT period with an accurate shot that was saved.
Montevallo put up 12 shots with six on target, while UWA had 13 shots with three on goal shots. The Falcons edged the Tigers six to one in corner kicks.
