MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Montevallo Men's Tennis Team claimed their first win of the season against Tuskegee University on Friday.

UM won all three doubles matches. The first coming from Arka Ganguly and Alex Cochran at #3 with a score of 8-0. At #1, the pairing of Sergi Martinez and Jonathan De Jesus won with a score of 8-5 while at #2 doubles Dylan Kamel and Brock Ladehoff came away victorious with a score of 8-5.

Singles also came away in favor for the Falcons. Three singles victories came from purple and gold freshmen. The first win coming from Ganguly at #5 singles with a swift 6-0 6-1. Next to finish was Kamel at #4 singles with a score of 6-1 6-0. Ladehoff also came away victorious at #2 singles 6-4 7-5. At #1, Martinez battled but came off with a win 6-3 6-4. Cochran racked another win for the falcons at #6 7-6 6-3. Rounding out the successful day was Alejandro Dorado with a score of 6-0 6-1 at #3.

The Falcons are now 1-1 (0-1) on the season.
