CARROLLTON, Ga. – The University of Montevallo Women's Tennis Team cruised to a 6-1 win in their match versus West Georgia on Tuesday.
At doubles, wins came at all three courts which gave the Falcons the doubles point.
Cyba Ozzor (Daytona Beach, Fla.) and
Emily Hafner (Seeon, Germany) won 6-4. The second win happened on court #1 with
Mireia Turro (Barcelona, Spain) and
Dorotea Hanzek (Bedekovcina, Croatia) winning 6-2. At the third doubles,
Isabelle Barfoot (Bentley, England ) and
Eva Dirr (Augsburg, Germany) won 6-4.
On the singles matches, Hafner won a hard-fought match 6-2, 6-4. Ozzor battled and came away with a win with a score of 7-5, 6-3 at #3. Dirr won her match at #4, 6-1, 6-0. Barfoot also had a successful day where she won 6-0, 6-1 at #6.
Victoria Rauscher rallied to win in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, 6-2.
The win moves the Lady Falcons to 3-3 (1-1) on the season.
