UM falls 8-1 to CBU in final game of weekend series

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The Montevallo softball team finished the three game weekend series with an 8-1 loss to Christian Brothers, Saturday afternoon in Memphis.

The Falcons fell behind 4-0 by the third inning and had a tough time bouncing back.  Montevallo struggled to find any runs during the game until the sixth inning when Mariel Bertossi went yard, and they struggled to contain CBU defensively giving up eight runs.

UM racked up six total hits on the day as Brooke Ingram and Holly LaForce Henderson collected multiple hits each.

UP NEXT: The Falcons will take on Lee University on Saturday, March 20th with the first pitch set for 12:00 PM in Cleveland, Tennessee.
