MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The University of Montevallo women's tennis team claimed victory over Tuskegee University on Friday.
At doubles, wins came at all three courts starting at #2.
Cyba Ozzor and
Emily Hafner won 8-0. A similar result happened on court #1 with
Mireia Turro and
Dorotea Hanzek winning 8-0. At the third doubles,
Isabelle Barfoot and
Victoria Rauscher claimed victory 8-1.
Singles was also successful for the Falcons. Turro won at #1 with a score of 7-5 6-0. At #2, Hafner had a clinical victory 6-0 6-0. Ozzor, Barfoot, and Rauscher also won with a score of 6-0 6-0. Rounding out the successful day was
Eva Dirr with a victory 6-1 6-0.
This clinical win moved the Falcons to 2-1 (0-1) on the season. The next match comes next Friday versus Georgia-Gwinnett College in Lawrenceville, Ga.
