LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. – The University of Montevallo Men's Tennis Team lose another close match versus Tennessee Wesleyan.
Doubles play was as tight as ever. First to finish was #3 doubles where Jonathan De Jesus and
Tanguy David lost 6-2. #2 doubles also fell the way of Tennessee Wesleyan with
James Bloomer and
Brecht van Buggenhout losing 6-3. The lone doubles win came from
Milan Ludlage and Phil Zehender at #1 doubles where they won 7-6. But the doubles point went to Tennessee Wesleyan since they captured two of the three doubles matches.
Singles was again close everywhere. The first point for the Falcons came from
Dylan Valentine at #2 where he won 7-6 6-4. Zehender lost at #1 6-3 6-3. David also lost at #4 6-2 6-4.
Daniel Del Val also fell short at #3 6-4 6-3. The wins in singles came toward the end of the lineup at #5 and #6.
Gavin Salton won a very grueling match 6-3 4-6 10-5 at #5.
Jules Dugue also played well at #6 where he won 5-7 7-6 10-7.
The Falcons are now 1-4 (0-1) on the season.
