HOOVER, Ala. - After a phenomenal season, the UM volleyball team came up just short in the GSC Finals, falling 0-3 (18-25, 14-25, 22-25) to Alabama Huntsville at the Findley Center.  The Falcons end their season with a 12-1 overall record with a 7-1 GSC record.

The Falcons had two of its members named to the GSC Spring Championship Series All-Tournament Team, including Evelina Teran and Amanda Nugent.

UM was led in kills by Evelina Teran (9 kills), Amanda Nugent (7 kills), and Morgan Hoffman (6 kills).  Nugent also contributed 10 digs and two aces. 

Hoffman led the Falcons with four blocks along with Macy Martin who had two blocks, and Evelina Teran who added a block.  Casey Hendrixson led the Falcons with 11 digs along with Savannah Roys who contributed seven digs and 20 assists.

Despite the loss the Falcons can look back on this season with tremendous pride.  During a challenging year for athletics the UM volleyball team overcame a multitude of adversity to gain the successes of this years unorthodox season.
