Jillian Morgan (Lafayette, Ga.) had nine kills, while junior outside hitter

As a team, the Falcons limited the Dragons to only 17 kills and a hitting percentage of -.057. Meanwhile, Montevallo more than doubled Lane with 36 kills, knocking down nearly 30% of its attacks. The Falcons also had eight service aces in the match.
It was all UM from the first serve as the Falcons jumped out to an 8-1 lead in the opening set. The largest lead in the set equaled the final margin of victory of 15 points. The second set was just as dominant as the Falcons jumped out to a 9-1 lead, and cruised to the 16-point victory. The Dragons led 3-2 early in the final set and stayed close for most of the way. However, the fire went out and the Falcons pulled away down the stretch for the win.

The Falcons jumped on the Bulldogs early and never looked back in a convincing win.
Evelina Teran led the way with 11 kills, 11 digs and an ace, while freshman
Colton Thompson (Fairhope, Ala.) contributed seven kills, 10 assists and seven digs.
Sav Roys added 15 assists and eight digs and
Casey Hendrixson tallied 18 digs and three of the Falcons seven aces. The Falcons nearly equaled their total kills in the opening match with 35.
In the first set, the Falcons took a double-digit lead then held off a furious comeback by TSU. With the score tied at 4-4, the Falcons went on a 17-6 run to take a 21-10 lead. Teran capped the rally with a kill with an assist from Thompson. TSU didn't go away easily, outscoring the Falcons 10-2 to draw within three points at 23-20. But, Roys scored to produce set-point, then the set ended with an attack error by TSU.
The Falcons briefly trailed early in the second set 2-1, but after a service ace by Thompson made it 3-2, UM wouldn't trail again. The set would be tied at 6-all, but four consecutive points by the Falcons put some distance between the two teams. TSU would pull to within two at 14-12, but the Falcons went on an 11-2 run to take the second set.
In the match clinching set, the Falcons broke open a close contest with an 11-1 run to cruise to the win. UM was up by a slim 7-5 margin, then ran away to take an 18-6 lead. The closest TSU would get after that was seven points.
