Braxton Bertolette led with 21 points, shooting 3-7 (42.9%) from the three-point line. Guard
Xavier Malcom contributed 15 points and four rebounds, with center
Aidan Gardiner and guard James McNeil both scoring 10 points. McNeil also had four assists.
The Falcons trailed behind the Buccaneers for most of the first half, then picked up the intensity to tie the game five times. The stalemate continued until the Falcons finally pulled ahead 27-25 with two minutes to go in the first half. Four lead changes later, and the Falcons went down 32-29.
The Falcons snag the largest game lead 55-48 in the second half, points from Malcom and Bertolette keeping them above water.
The Buccaneers tied the game nine times to challenge the lead, tensions rising as both teams fought for possession at the boards. Though the Buccaneers outrebounded the Falcons 37-25, the Falcons won out by scoring 26-52 (50%) from the field and 6-19 (31.6%) from downtown.
With the win, the Falcons improve 9-13 for their regular season record and 6-7 in the GSC.
