SERIES HISTORY
This is the 70th meeting between the Falcons and Chargers. UAH holds a slim 37-32 advantage in the series which dates back to 1977. Each team has held long winning streaks over the years. The Falcons won the first two games in 1977-78 to launch the longtime rivalry. Between 1980 and 1983, UAH won six straight and 11-of-12 going into 1985. The 1990s belonged to Montevallo as the Falcons won 14-of-15, including 11 in a row from 1989 to 1999. The Chargers stopped the bleeding in Feb. 1999 with a 52-47 win. After UM won the next game, UAH reeled off seven straight. UAH had another 6-game winning streak in the series from 2009 to 2018. Since UAH beat UM 61-58 in Nov. 2017, the teams have alternated wins. The Falcons knocked the Chargers out of the postseason in the last meeting, beating UAH 69-60 in the Gulf South Conference Tournament in the first round at Trustmark Arena.

The Falcons stormed into the new year with a 86-56 win over Shorter University on Sunday afternoon in Trustmark Arena. Senior guard Kiya Sain led the Falcons with 24 points  She shot 9-of-13 from the field with a season high 6-of-8 from 3-point range. Marissa Snodgrass added 13 points, while Shyan Flack contributed 10.

UAH gave West Florida a battle before succumbing 64-60 on Sunday afternoon at Spragins Hall. Selena Pruitt paced the Chargers with 15 points, while Alexis Woods had a double-double, scoring 14 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.
