JACKSON, Miss. – The Montevallo men's swimming team notched its first win of the season at Millsaps College, 203-50, on Saturday. The Falcons took first in every race but one with top-three placements in all 14 events. The 153-point difference is the largest margin of victory in Montevallo men's swimming history.
FINAL RESULTS
The Falcons have won all three all-time matchups with Millsaps dating back to 2020. Montevallo dominated in the distance events taking first in the 1,000-yard free and the 500-yard free by at least 15 seconds in both events.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Nicolas Ioannides earned first in the 1000-yard free with a time of 10:22.06, 21 seconds faster than second-place.
- Montevallo's three 200-yard medley relay teams took all three of the top placements.
- Jacob Rubin took first in the 200-yard free by five seconds with a time of 1:45.95.
- Ioannides added another impressive win with a first-place finish in the 500-yard free with a time of 4:58.69.
