MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo men's soccer team dropped its second match of the season, 1-0, to Alabama-Huntsville, at Varsity Field, Friday.
For the first time this season, the Falcons were held scoreless. Montevallo fired 19 total shots in the match and 10 on goal, but the GSC's top-scoring team was unable to find the back of the net.
After 58 minutes of scoreless play, UAH's Andreas Tsimon put one in the net, lifting UAH to a 1-0 advantage.
Following UAH' second-half goal, the Falcons placed five shots on frame but all were saved by UAH's Robert Bailey.
With under 10 seconds to go,
Otger Vendrell fired a shot to the bottom left corner but it was stopped by Robert for his 10
th save of the match.
