MONTEVALLO, Ala. – The Montevallo women's basketball team fell in a non-conference contest to North Georgia, 81-63, Tuesday night.
The Falcons trailed by just three, 17-14, after the first quarter thanks to an offense that spread the scoring around with four of Montevallo's starters scoring in the first 10 minutes. North Georgia caught fire from three-point range making four of the team's 10 three's while shooting 57.1 percent in the second quarter to stretch the lead to 11 at the halftime break. North Georgia couldn't miss from deep in the fourth quarter making all five of the team's three-point attempts. Montevallo's 57.1 percent shooting mark from behind the arc in the fourth quarter proved to be too little too late as the Falcons would eventually fall to the Nighthawks.
