SERIES HISTORY
When these two met on December 16, 2017, it was a frenzied, triple overtime slugfest with VSU surviving a 139-135  barn burner at the Complex. Since that game, the Blazers have won seven of the last nine games in the series. In the last meeting, back in December, the Blazers used a strong second half to distance themselves and take home the win.  It was the first conference loss of the season for the Falcons. Braxton Bertolette had 15 points to lead UM, while James McNeil contributed 13.    .

In their last game, guard Xavier Malcom was lights-out, shooting a sizzling 7-for-11 (63.6%) to take home the 81-75 victory. He led the Falcons in scoring with 23 points. Guard Braxton Bertolette added 14 points and six rebounds and guard Jason King also dropped in 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Guard James McNeil had 13 points and five assists, while forward Aaris-Monte Bonds contributed 11 points in his return to action after an extended absence.
