SERIES HISTORY
Delta State has won 13 of the 17 meetings between the two teams, which began in 1983. However, the last victory belonged to Montevallo as the Falcons took down the Statesmen 69-62 at Trustmark Arena back in December. In that game, the Falcons overcame a second half deficit to remain unbeaten in conference play.. 

GSC TOURNAMENT SCRAMBLE
The late Al Davis, former owner of the Oakland Raiders, was famous for saying, "Just Win Baby". Well, it's comes down to that for the Falcons as a win in one of their last two regular season games clinches a spot in the GSC Tournament. Delta State is nipping at the Falcons heels, just a half game back, as is Alabama-Huntsville. The Falcons can still clinch a spot in the tournament if both Auburn-Montgomery and Valdosta State lose Saturday night.

MONTEVALLO
The Falcons had their four game winning streak snapped by a last second loss to Mississippi College on Thursday night. Not only did the setback snapped the streak, it also denied the Falcons the opportunity to even their record for the first time this season. Three Falcons, Braxton Bertolette, James McNeil and Aaris-Monte Bonds, finished the game with 14 points apiece. Bonds also grabbed 11 rebounds to earn a double-double.

The Statesmen also had a winning streak halted on Thursday night as they lost to Auburn-Montgomery 61-57. The Delta State experienced a cold snap, shooting just 37 percent from the field as a team, including a 25 percent clip (6-for-24) from three-point territory.
