MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Montevallo women's lacrosse team fell 13-7 at Florida Tech, Monday evening on the road. With the loss the Falcons slip to 3-7 overall on the season.
The Falcons jumped out with a 1-0 lead after
Anja Kuys sank a goal with 13:04 left in the quarter. Both teams traded goals for the remainder of the quarter ending with a 2-2 tie at the end on one period.
The Panthers exploded in the second quarter outscoring the Falcons 7-1 to jump ahead 9-3 by halftime. The Falcons battled in the second half, rattling off multiple goals in an attempt to settle the score but Florida Tech held UM's comeback efforts off to secure the win.
