MELBOURNE, Fla. - The Montevallo women's lacrosse team fell 13-7 at Florida Tech, Monday evening on the road.  With the loss the Falcons slip to 3-7 overall on the season.

The Falcons jumped out with a 1-0 lead after Anja Kuys sank a goal with 13:04 left in the quarter.  Both teams traded goals for the remainder of the quarter ending with a 2-2 tie at the end on one period.

The Panthers exploded in the second quarter outscoring the Falcons 7-1 to jump ahead 9-3 by halftime.  The Falcons battled in the second half, rattling off multiple goals in an attempt to settle the score but Florida Tech held UM's comeback efforts off to secure the win.

Montevallo received scoring efforts from Rylee Horton (2), Lily McCormick (2), Anja Kuys (2), and Jenna Piazza (1).  

UP NEXT: The Falcons are set to face in-state foe Alabama Huntsville, with the first draw set for Sunday, March 27th at 2:00 pm in Huntsville.
