MONTEVALLO – The Montevallo men's lacrosse team took a 10-6 loss to Indianapolis, after a hard tight home field battle. With the loss the Falcons are now 3-3 overall this season.
The Greyhounds were the first to score in the game, jumping out to a two-goal lead until
Scott Friant served up a pass for
Thomas Vaesen to set the score 2-1 with 9:06 left in the quarter.
Indianapolis scored four unanswered goals leading into the second quarter until
Jackson Neufeld netted UM's second goal with 8:46 left in the half. UIndy outscored UM 8-3 by the half time break.
The nets were silent for the majority of the third quarter until the Falcons netted two goals in the last five minutes of the third period. Montevallo only needed six minutes for another goal in the fourth quarter to make the 8-6 with 9:31 left to go.
After going scoreless since the second quarter, the Greyhounds sealed the win with two unanswered goals in the final six minutes.
