MONTEVALLO - The Montevallo women's team took care of business at home with a 16-5 victory over the Shorter University Hawks. With the win the Falcons are now 5-10 this season with a 1-4 Gulf South record.
UP NEXT: The Falcons are set to face Flagler in the final game of the regular season, with the first draw set for Saturday, April 23rd at 12:00pm.

Rylee Horton, and Anja Kuys led Montevallo with four goals a piece. Hailey Wilcox (2), Katherine Friedman (1), Adriana Perro (1), Makenzie Deluca (1), Jodi Morawiec (1), Amber Lynch (1), Hannah Fortin (1) all added scoring to UM's winning effort.

Rachel Rose (3-5) took the win collecting six saves in 23:19 minutes of service.
Game Summary
1st Quarter
The Falcons kicked the game off with three unanswered goals before Shorter was able to find a goal with 8:33 left in the first. Montevallo set off three more goals ending the first quarter ahead 6-2.
2nd Quarter
UM came back with four straight goals until the Hawks sank their second goal with 00:20 left in the half. The Falcons led 10-3 by the halftime break.
3rd Quarter
Montevallo continued to dominate in the third adding three goals compared to one Shorter goal.
4th Quarter
The Falcons put up two additional goals in the fourth quarter, rounding out the Hawks with the 11 goal win.
