HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Montevallo men's soccer added one point in the league table with a 0-0 draw on the road at Alabama Huntsville on Sunday afternoon.
Montevallo's attack had its foot on the gas early with two shots from
Seth Acton and
Alvaro Martin Lopez inside the game's first four minutes.
In the 20
th minute, the Falcons had regained possession and looked to break the ice with a
Renzo Bozzo shot on goal that was turned aside by the UAH goalkeeper. Sophomore
Karim Salome fired another UM shot just moments later but missed the mark high.
Montevallo saw another scoring opportunity around the 26-minute mark but three Falcon shots all either missed the target or were blocked.
In the 32
nd minute, veteran forward
Julio Rojo fired Montevallo's second shot on goal but was turned away by the UAH defense.
Out of the half, both defenses took control of the game with neither side willing to give an inch. The Falcons saw 16 minutes run off the clock before either squad fired a shot.

Michael Milliron saw one of UM's best scoring chances in the 82
nd minute but could not find the back of the net.
UM goalkeeper
Tomas Valles Gilbert saw action in the final minute with the sophomore making a diving save in the 90
th minute to keep the game level and earn Montevallo its first draw of the season.
